False Report About the Drowning of Seth Nichols.

Seth Nichols, the Jasper county boy who was reported drowned by falling from a ship at Key West, is alive and well, at least he has telegraphed his relatives to that effect. Just how the report of his death occurred is not known positively, but the Lafayette young lady with whom he had been keeping company received a telegram stating that he had been drowned. It is thought possible that some of Seth’s chums may have sent the telegram to the young lady as a joke. It was responsible for causing his relatives here a great deal of trouble, as his grandfather, John Nichols, made a trip to Lafayette to sen* what he «)uld learn about the matter )
