Report of the Annnal Meeting of the Woman’s Missionary Society

Hebron was chosen as the place for the next annual meeting of the Woman’s Foreign Missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church at the annual meeting held last week at Monon. At the annual meeting of last year, the district pledged itself to raise $1,300 and when the report was submitted at the Monon meeting the amount raised was shown to be sl,473, or $173 more than was needed to fulfill the pledge. The society pledged iteslf to raise $1,400 by the time of the next annual meeting at Hebron. During the last year a missionary in Africa has been supported by three districts, Hammond, South Bend and Greencastle, but this year she is to be supported by two, Hammond and South Bend. The society elected the following officers for the ensuing year: Mrs. W. W. Worthley, Michigan City, president; Mrs. Avann, Valparaiso, first vice-president; Mrs. Lyman, Monon, second vice-president; Mrs. Adelaide Humphreys, Whiting, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Lucy Watson, Wolcott, recording secretary; Miss Mina Mlliken, Crown Point, treasurer; Miss Grace Martz, Michigan City, standard bearer'Work; Mrs. Daisy Ferguson, Whiting,- children’s work; Mrs. D. Hart, Wolcott, mite box superintendent.
