Corn shucking is the order of the day. J. H. Hoover was in this locality Thursday. ’ Wm. Daniels and son were out to his farm Friday. * Mr. and Mrs. Chris Morgenegg were in Rensselaer Friday. Vilas Price commenced work for George McElfresh Monday. Vilas Price and Amos Deer visited with George McElfresh Sunday. » Mrs. Charley Reed spent Friday with her mother, Mrs. James Myers. Newton Jenkins is hauling corn for his brother Ed, who lives near Brook. Samuel Holmes, of Nubbin Ridge, sold C r A. Reed a bunch of calves Thursday* Mr. and Mrs. J. Sherer and Frank and Mart went to Rensselaer Friday in their auto. Walter Smith and Elmer Brown called on S. H. Holmes and family Sunday afternoon. Firman Rutherford is doing some mason work for the township near Burns school house. Walter Smith and Murman Tudor are hauling gravel from Theodore Snow’s gravel pit at present. Mr. and Mrs. Caddie Cornell and baby spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Morgenegg and family. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Moore and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Greenlee and family Sunday. County Superintendent Lamson and wife came to attend institute at Cosy Palace Saturday through the snow and slush. Earl Bruner got stuck in the sand near Burns school house Friday. He was there about three hours' before he got his auto in working order. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pullins and children, Mrs. Winfred Pullins and Jim Stanley visited with Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Holmes and family Sunday. Horace Daniels passed through our town Thursday, hauling a corn crib out to his farm on hay ladders. The crib would hold about 300 bushels of corn. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown went to Plymouth Friday to spend a few days with Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Greenlee and family, who formerly lived, near Rensselaer.
