Will of the Late John Minnicus Was Mutilated.
Mention waß made in the Republican of the death of Angust 30th of John Minnicus, of Lafayette, who was the father of Mrs. Kat 4 Owen, formerly of Rensselaer, and the uncle - of the Minnicus boys, who lived here for many years, and are now largely located at Chicago Heights. It seems that Minnicus left a will bequeathing the larger part of his property to his son, Frank, and his daughter, Mrs. Blood, but the will when found was mutilated, .the lower part containing the signature of the decedent and the witnesses being cut off. All of the children but one have joined in a petition to have the will established V notwithstanding the missing signature, but one daughter, Mrs. Baker, of Chicago, refuses to sign the petition. The will was drawn up May 14, 1909. >
