Death of L. H. Myers Occurred Early Tuesday Morning.
L. H. Myers, who has been in failing helath for the past year, died at 1:30 o’clock this Tuesday, morning at his home in the east part of Rensselaer. A complication of diseases that baffled successful medical treatment combined to cause his death. On Monday he seemed a little improved and was up and about the house. In the evening he was given a bath and retired feeling better than for several proceeding days. It was evident, however, that the end was not far away and four of his eight children were assembled at the home. At about one o’clock they were called to his bedside by the nurse and at 1:30 he breathed his last. Probably the best known child of the deceased In Rensselaer is Howard Myers, of Brook. The funeral arrangements had not been completed when the Republican was printed, but it Is probable that the service will be held at the residence at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. The body will then be taken to Remington and shipped from there to Washington, 111., for interment.
