William Washburn Buys the C. W. Coen Residence.
Chas W. Coen has completed the sale of his Milroy avenue residence property to William Washburn, who made the purchase for hiß daughter, Mrs. W. O. Rowles, whose home it will become. Mr. Rowles had contracted to rent the new house which J. T. Randle is building on River street, and it was a great surprise to himself and wife when Mr. Washburn, informed them that he had purchased the Coen residence for them. The Coen home was formerly the residence of R. S. Dwiggins, and with the improvements made by Mr. Coen, following his purchase of it several years ago, it was extensively remodeled, and Is now one of the most attractive residence properties in this city. While Mr. and Mrs. Coen do not expect to remove to South Bend until spring, they will give possession of the house to Mr. and Mrs. Rowles about Nov. Ist. As previously stated Mr. Coen has purchased an interest in one of the leading national banks in South Bend and they will make that city their home.
