TUESDAY. John W. Duvall made a business trip to Chicago this morning. Dr. I. M. Washburn made a business trip to Logansport today. Miss Jessie Makeever spent Sunday in Chicago with friends. Frank P. Morton was over from Goodland on business this morning. Mrs. G. A. Hopkins, of Mt. Ayr, took the 10:55 train here today for Monon, for a short visit. W. A. Brown, of near Mt. Ayr, took the train here for Lafayette this morning for a short visit. Mrs. Floyd Robinson went to Chicago this morning for a short visit with her sister, Mrs. Frank Wood. ———4_—— Joe Hardman and A. F. Long went to the Kankakee river today for a two days’ fishing trip. Miss Ella Mahanna returned to Delphi this morning, after a visit of several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Stucker. ______ Marion Pierson, son of Henry Pierson, is now working for the International Harvester Co., with headquarters in Chicago. =— Will Mackey, the tombstone man, has purchased C. G. Spitler’s Mitchell automobile, which he will use in connection with his soliciting work. The deal was made by Jamie Willis.
Children Cry FOR FLETCHER'S PASTORIA Robert Stiers, brother-in-law of Henry Randle, left this morning for Los Angeles, Cal., where he expects to spend the winter at least and possibly make that place his permanent home. The family of O. S. Rariden, the new Methodist Protestant minister, arrived here this morning from Carmel, and will at once take up their residence at the Rose Bud parsonage. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Stucker, from west of town, and “Uncle” Henry Childers, of Delphi, left this morning for Keeley, Kans., for a about two weeks with the family of her brother, S. A. Blankenbaker. Children Cry FOR FLETCHER'S PASTORIA H. W. Walter and wife, who have been living on the J. J. Moore farm, near Remington, are in town today, booking for city property to rent. Rhoades went to Goodland this afternoon, where his wife has been for several days keeping house for her father’s family during the absence on a vacation of members of the family. She will return home him. L. T. Hammond, the hustling Wolcott land agent, was here a short time this morning and went to Chicago, where several North Dakota land prospectors were to meet him. Lou did not expect to go on this trip, however, being too busy hustling up a crowd for the next excursion.
