MORE RAILROAD TALK; ENGINEER VISITS US.

Going Over Proposed Route of the In. diana Northwestern Traction Company via Remington.

Chief Engineer Harvey of the reently incorporated Northwestern Indiana Traction Co., of which George W. Goff is a stockholder, was here this morning, accompanied by an assistant, and went from here south through Remington and Wolcott and thence to Monticello. One of the spurs of the projected road, which it is proposed to build from Lafayette to Logansport, is to come from Monticello via Wolcott and Remington to Rensselaer and thence north, probably paralleling the Monon, railroad. It is probable that the company will ask a franchise from this city before long, and they claim that they have assurances from capital that the road will be built.
