Proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners.

The county commissioners met in regular monthly session in Rensselaer this week. On the petition of S. P. Thompson et al for a highway in Union township, the same was established to the width of thirty feet. Edward W. Culp et al, petition for ditch. Continued to November term for objections. S. P. Thompson et al, petition for ditch. Remonstrance filed by F. M. Lakin et al. Continued to November term. ■ John W. Nowels, petition’ tor ditch. Ditch established. D. S. Makeever appointed superintendent under bond of $2,500.

Robert J. Yeoman et al were granted the right-of-way privileges along the highways of Jasper county for the Home Telephone Co.

Marion I. Adams et al, petition for highway in Marion township. Everett Halstead, A. C. Pancoast and R. J. Yeoman appointed viewers. Thos. Davis et al, petition to improve Jungles ditch. Drainage commissioners directed to comply with order of Jasper circuit court and to meet October sth to amend said report and meet on said date. . Cause continued for hearing objections at November term.

Mathias Zimmer et al, petition for ditch in, Gillam township. Cause continued for objections. . The auditor was directed to prepare bonds in sum of $6,476.86 in denominations of not less than SIOO each to pay for the construction of the Grover Smith ditch, and for $5,616.70 in the Ringeisen ditch, and for $6,934.01 in the William Heilscher ditch.

The auditor was directed to give notice of receiving bids for a bridge in Barkley township. The Jasper County Board of Finance reported interest collected for September on county funds as follows: Bank of Wheatfield, $4.43; State Bank of Remington, $15.56; State Bank of Rensselaer, $£6.86; First National Bank of Rensselaer, $93.78; Jasper Savings & Trust Co., $39.83,
