Our New Methodist Minister

Rev. Chas. L. Harper, the new pastor of Trinity M. E. church, is a graduate of DePauw University, having completed the course of that school in 1888. Since that time he has been a minister in the Northwest Indiana conference, having held pastorates in the extreme north and south ends of the conference. For only four years prior to his coming here has he been in this district. He began his preaching service at Brookston twen-ty-one years ago and married a Brookston young lady. Since then he has served as pastor at Shadeland, Newport, Clinton, Williamsport, New Carlisle, Hebron, Terre Haute and St. Paul’s at Indianapolis. He comes to Trinity with the best endorsements from all of his former pastorates and is taking' hold of the work here with a commendible grasp of what is best needed for the good of the church. His sermons are meeting a splended reception and his work is starting off very auspiciously.
