MONDAY LOCALS.
The Plymouth council has granted a franchise to the South Bend & Logansport Traction company. The franchise extends for forty years, the stipulations being that the company builds its line to the southern limits of the city, that work shall begin within three months and that it shall be completed by June 1, 1910. Dr. M. D. Gwin will move this week from the Haskell house on Weston street to one of the houses owned by Pr. Myer’s father-in-law, Mr. Bell, on .Cullen street. It is understood that the house vacated by Dr. Gwin is to be occupied by Mrs. Thos. Manley, who will remove here from Sheldon, 111. Judso# Maines and family will move to his mother’s home on Dayton street.
Rev. J. O. Ledbetter, of Swazee, Ind., president of the Indiana conference of the Methodist Protestant church, was here over Sunday and will probably select some young and energetic man to take hold of the church work at this place. He will preach at the church tonight and the public is cordially Invited to come out, and hear him. Rev. Ledbetter is a logical speaker and deserving a large audience.
Thos. Eigelsbach came down from Chicago Saturday for a visit of ten days with bis parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eiglesbech. He brought with him a friend named William A. Raichart, who is employed in the postofflce department and who was paying his first visit to a country town, and his impressions were very favorable. He will return to Chicago today, but will probably arrange for a visit of greater length for some future time. Tom has been in Chicago eight years and has worked all that time witjt the Chicago street railway company.
