August Kempf, of Laporte, 1b the inventor of a steel-armored hose, and the Illinois Central railroad has offered him $25,000 for the letters patent on the Invention. He has refused the offer and a Laporte company is being organized to manufacture his Invention. The Pullman Car Co. is also said tb he after the patent.
