Charters of Drinking Clubs Are Apt To Be Revoked.

If an investigation of many of the social clubs of the state leads to the discovery that they are for the purpose of providing “cases” in the "dry” counties it is probable that action will be brought to revoke the charters. Preparations are now being made in the office of Attorney General James Bingham to conduct such an investigation. „ ' The incorporation laws give certain rights to persons desiring to become an incorporate body for purposes of social and intellectual advancement, but it Is a question whether this gives a right of incorporation to clubs that organize to surmount the county local option law. The question will hinge on an interpretation of the law.
