Jim and Frank Donnelly, True Woodworth, Will Simondsjmd Leonard Rhoades went to the Kankakee this morning, where they will spend four or five days fishing. They will camp at pigeon point, above Jerry’s* island.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Norris and two daughters left this morning for Coshockton, Ohio, for a* visit of two weeks with relatives at his boyhood home. Passes to and from there were generously furnished Mr. Norris because of his connection with the Monon railroad.
Miss Queen Perry, who taught music and drawing in our city schools for about three years, and who resigned to take a similar position at Lebanon, will be here Saturday of this week. She and her mother have been J spending the summer at Manistee, Mich.
George N. Dunn, of Wichita, Kans., who accompanied his wife and son here some ten days ago, left this afternoon on his return trip, his vacation having been cut short by his recall due to the recent injury to crops In that section by drouth and hot winds. Mrs. Dunn and son will remain for about two weeks longer.
Vernon J. Crlsler, who was raised by bis grandfather, Michael Blankenbaker, in Rensselaer, and who learned the Jewelry trade with W. J. Huff, arrived In Rensselaer this morning. He is now engaged in the real estate business, having quit the Jewelry business about a year ago. He will be here about two weeks, and will try to interest some farmers in what he terms the “land of promise.”
