Foot Ball Player Gets Bruised In Fall From Roof.
Leonard Elder, star of last year’s high school foot ball team, and in many respects the best all around player that Rensselaer ever turned out, is wearing a bandage on his head and in some other ways shows the effect of a bad fall which he sustained last Friday. He was working for Firman Rutherford, shingling the new school house at Center, in Barkley township, and was near the cone of thfc roof, when he became overheated and unconscious. In that condition he rolled off the roof, some twelve feet to the eaves and fourteen feet to the ground. When his father, David Elder, and others reached him he was unconscious and be so remained for about two hours. Fortunately, however, he was not seriously Injured, his foot ball training evidently standing him in good stead, and aside from a cut on his forehead, another on his upper lip, and some minor bruises about the body, he was uninjured. He is now able to be about and within a few days he will be entirely recovered. r *T~ •—-1" _ ■ "
