C. C. Fish, Kankakee River Character, Captured Tuesday.

Louie P. Shirer, county sheriff, made an Important catch Tuesday, and the victim of hiß shrewdness had eluded the search of many others for some time. He had a hard time landing the fellow, but when he cooled off a bit Louie tucked him away in a sack and brought him back to Rensselaer single handed. The fellow was landed in jail without further difficulty and Louie got on very friendly terms with him and today had him in the Jail dining room for dinner, making a trusty of him. The victim was a big channel cat fish, weighing 8% pounds, and some of the sheriff’s fHends have evidenced Just a bit of doubt as to whether or not he was caught with a steel or a silver hook, but Louie had him thoroughly fincuffed when he reached here and he took no chances on his falling Into other hands.
