Randolph Spriggs, Victim of Collision, Buried in Rensselaer.
The funeral of Randolph Spriggs, whose death resulted from the collission in Chicago last ’Friday, \yas held at the Christian church in Rensselaer this, • Friday, afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. G. H. Clarke conducted the services. The burial services at Weston cemetery were conducted by the Rensselaer K. of!?. lodge. Ten members of Division 266, of the Amalgamated Association of Street and Electric -Workers were here to ‘represent that order at the funeral. Obituary. J. Randolph Spriggs was born in Walker township, Jasper county, Ind., September 28, 1880, where he remained with his parents until grown. He was well known around Rensselaer, where he was engaged at various employments until Mry, 1907, at which time he went to Hammond, Ind., and found employment as motorman on the East Chicago & Hammond Electric line, where he worked steadily until the evening of August sth, when he was injured in a wreck, which resulted in his death August 11, 1909. He was a member of the K. of P. lodge and was loved and respected by sll who knew him. His death is a great blow to his parents.
