The Atlas Collectors Have Left For New Fields.

The gang -of, collectors that have been working in the county for two or three weeks trying to collect from purchasers of the county atlas have B. v. shipped the atlasses left on their hands and left for new pastures. They succeeded in collecting sls each from many of the subscribers. Others they settled with for $7.50 each, and still others for $5. Some refused to pay anything and from others they made no effort to collect for the atlas. In portions of the county they left a supply of the atlasses with instructions to sell at any price the books will bring. The whole affair was a swindle and it is doubtful if any further attempt is made to collect from those refusing to pay.
