drover Brown spent Sunday with home folks. v j Wheat cuttitng is the order of the day at present. S. H. Holmes sold some stock hogs to A. 0. Moore Monday. C. Morgenegg sold some veal calves and took them away Wednesday. James Lewis is getting very weak, not able to be up much of the time. Most everybody in this locality attended the celebration at Parr Saturday. Silas Price is helping Dan Lesh take care of h}s big wheat crop this week. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Reed and children visited Mr. and Mrs. John Marlatt and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Whitaker visited with Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Holmes and family Sunday. Mrs. Chris Morgenegg, Jr., of Illinois, is visiting for a few days with friends and relatives in this locality. Dr. Kresler was called out to Samuel Wiles Monday to see Mrs. Wiles, who is dangerously sick at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. John Scott visited with S. H. Holmes Tuesday. Mrs. Scott remained a few days to help care for Mrs. Holmes. Mr. and Mrs. John Scott,' of east Barkley, was called to Monon Sunday on account of the death of his brother-in-law, Lary Jones. Mrs. Wm. Whitaker returned home Tuesday after spending a couple of days helping care for Mrs. S. Holmes, who has been very sick for the past week.
