Death of Mrs. Josie Travis At Her Home In Oregon.

Elder D. T. Halstead received word today, Thursday, of the death of his daughter, Mrs. "Josie Travis, at her home in Portland, Oregon, last evening. She had been ill for several months, but at last reports she was much better. Deceased was the widow of Henry Travis, who died about three years ago. She and her husband were early settlers in Rensselaer, where he studied law and later practiced at Fowler. He was given a government appointment in the land service under President Harrison, and was sent to Oregon, where they made their homes until death came. Mrs. Travis was about fifty years of age and leaves four grown sons and her parents here.
