Proposed to Hold a Horse, Cattle and Chicken Show.

Kan been suggested that Rensselaer hold a farmers’ horse, cattle and chicken show the first or second week in August. The matter will be taken up at once by the business men and commercial club and if sufficient funds can be raised the show will be held. The plan is to give cash prizes for the best exhibits of cattle, horses, hogs, sheep, chickens and grain and to give purses for foot races and other exhibitions. The exhibits will be displayed in large tents on the principal streets, and parades of horses and other live stock will be made each day. The details are yet to be worked out and will be published as they develope.
