Another Railroad Election to Be Called in Carpenter Township.

G. W. Infield, C. W. Coen, C. C. Warner and Warren Robinson were in Remington Wednesday circulating a petition for another election to vote aid for the Infield proposed interurban road. The petition was numerously signed and the matter of holding an election will probably come before the county commissioners next week. Carpenter township voted on this same proposition two years ago and defeated the subsidy. During the intervening time the sentiment seems to have changed and it is now thought that the election will carry. Marion township voted a tax at that time and unless work is commenced on the road before next September, the subsidy cannot be collected, as the tax must be placed on the duplicate by September to become effective.

If Carpenter township votea a tax there will be a chance to get the road started and the tax put on the duplicate by September.
