According to information given out at Pittsburg, the Pennsylvania will destroy 25,000 old wooden freight cars which have been in service on the company lines for a good many years. William Fleming, former saloonkeeper and alleged gambler of Cleveland, 0., was found guilty of grand larceny at South Bend, in that he engineered a bunko-steerfng game in which W. J. Springborn, service director of Cleveland, lost SIO,OOO, the amount being waged in a fake wrestling match. The jury was out only one hour, and as soon as the verdict was announced Fleming was sentenced to the Michigan City prison for from one to fourteen years.
