FAIR OAKS.

Kight & Egelston are renovating the inside of their store this week. Dr. English has made two or three professional calls here this week. Mrs. Cottingham is expected home from California by the 4th of July. Mrs. Mary Cooper is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Swanka, east of town, this week. Come to Fair Oaks to celebrate the Fourth for we always have a good crowd, a good time, and lots of good things to eat. Only a very few were left here Friday and Saturday. All went to attend the races at Lowell, and don’t report seeing anything great either. It is reported that Bert Warren was married in Watseka a few days ago, but we cannot vouch for the truth of the statement, as he has not returned here yet. Mrs. Alva Brohard has returned from Lebanon, where she has been for several weeks. She was in the hospital at Indianapolis for awhile when she first left here.
