Must File Partnership Names With County Clerk.

County Clerk Warner has received a supply of blanks for the use of firms and companies in complying with the new law on page 358 of the Acts of 1309. The law requires that any persons conducting a business in this state under any title other than the real names of the persons engaged in the business shall file with the clerk a certificate stating the full name and residence of each member of the firm or, company. The law does not apply to any corporation doing business under its true corporate name, nor to any firm whose title includes the true surnames of the partners, nor to any church, lodge or association whose business is conducted by trustees under a written instrument or declaration of trust recorded in the county recorder’s office. A number of firms here have already complied with the provisions of the law. The law provides a heavy fine for failure to comply with its provisions.
