FAIR OAKS.

Fred McColly, of Virgie, visited friends in Fair Oaks Sunday. Carl Trimp, of Cotes, Ind.,. is visiting his uncle, Chas. Barker, this week. Mrs. Charles Gundy and Mrs. Abe Bringle did shopping in Rensselaer Tuesday. Jacob Klght, of Wheatfield, was in town again this week. Frank Goff and family have moved into the property recently purchased from Ray Thompson. Mrs. Fred Iliff and Miss Hazel McColly, of near Parr, visited Mrs. Kight Monday. Fair Oaks has finally concluded to celebrate the 4th of July. Further particulars will be given later. Mrs. Isaac Kight and Mrs. Emery Cox took dinner with Mrs. Sharp Hanley in honor of her 19th birthday. Preaching at the M. E. church Saturday night by the Rev. Mrs. Fenniburst, of Evanston. All are invited to attend. . : Mrs. Mattie, Dickenson, who has been staying at John Casey’s for the past two weeks, has returned to Rensselaer. Mrs. Margaret Keller, of Rensselaer, is keeping house for her sister, Mrs. Thompson, while the latter is visiting in Illinois. Mrs. Hattie Kessler visited her husband, who is working near McCoysburg, over Sunday. She took several pictures while there. A band of gypsies passed through here Tuesday evening, taking every thing, or trying to take everything that was loose, until ordered to leave town.
