It is said that misfortunes never come singly. Ray Osborne,, son of J. F. Osborne, who has not yet recovered from an operation for cancer, came ..near dying from blood poison last Friday. Ray is an undertaker and while embalming a body one day last week one of his fingers, which had a slight scratch on it became affected. He thought nothing of it at the time but poison began working in his arm and a doctor was called. Friday night fevers and chills attacked him and it was thought for a time that he could not live through the night. His condition has shown some improvement since and it is now thought that he will recover. He lives in a suburb of Chicago. Mr. Osborne was to have returned to Chicago today for a further operation for his cancer, but will not do so now until his son, who is studying medicine at the hospital, can be present.
