George Ade in Lafayette.

George Ade came quietly into the city yesterday afternoon, after a long absence abroad and said he was back to attend the alumni doings at Purdue. Ade never gets so far away from Lafayette that he can’t get back in time to attend the annual commencement exercises. Xde went to the far east some months ago, the object of his visit being mainly to get away from the busy turmoil and glamour of American cities for awhile. Ade visited numerous countries and had a grand time en route. He dropped a card now and then to Purdue friends and at the time the last Purdue show was in Egypt. Ade says he is in excellent health and that he enjoyed his trip abroad. He has been resting up a bit at his farm at Brook and it is rumored that as a result of his recent trip over land and sea that he will spring several new plays on the public. —Lafayette Courier.
