Monon Reinstates Dollar Chicago Excursion Rate.
After three or four years of the $1.25 round trip rate to Chicago the Monon railroad has decided to reinstate the old and popular dollar rate for the special excursions. The first of these excursions that will stop at Rensselaer will be run Sunday, June 13th. The special will start at Carmel, north of Indianapolis at 5:40 o’clock and the rate for all stations between Carmel and Monticleeo will be $1.50 for the round trip. At Monticello the rate drops to $1.25 and at Monon it drops to sl. At Surrey and Parr the rate is 90 cents and at Fair Oaks the rate is 85 cents and at northern points at which the train Stops the rate is 75 cents. The train is due to arrive in Rensselaer at 8:48 and to reach Chicago at 11:30. Returning the train will leave Chicago at 11:30 at night. The train will stop at Cedar l.ake both going and coming.
