Chicago Industrial Company May Be Stringing Us.
President Warren Robinson received a letter today from the Chicago Industrial Co., stating that Mr. Denm had expected to he here Thursday with the representative of a concern that desires to locate outside of Chicago. For some reason the man did not get around in time to come here Thursday but the trip will be made later. Mr. Deapa thinks it is something that Rensselaer will want when they learn about it. There are - a great many things that Rensselaer wants, but it commences to look as though w« might want what we want a long time before we get it through Price and Deam, whose ardor seems to have waned considerably since they were selling the lots. This fact should not discourage the lot purchasers In the least, for the factory fund is accumulating and the larger it gets the better shape we will be in to handle a proposition without borrowing money when the opportunity comes. It would seem wise, however, to give no consideration to the promises of the Chicago Industrial Co., who have every appearance of trying to string our commercial club with a big yarn string.
