Small Writing Contest Won By Mrs. Minnie Cover.
Dr. A. G. Catt conducted a very novel contest which ended the first of June. He offered $5 in gold to the person who would write “Dr. A. G. Catt, Optometrist,” the greatest number of times on a postal card. About 100 entered the contest, and the cards are very interesting. The committee selected to decide the contest, found that Mrs. Minnie Cover. R. D. No. 2, was the successful fine penwoman and awarded her the prize. She had written the line some 900 times, but the committee decided that only 690 of the lines were legible. The second contestant was Mrs. Tony Kanne, who wrote the line 580 times. Next came Bessie Peters, who wrote the line 504 times. The contest proved very interesting.
