Floyd Tow was a Rensselaer goer Saturday. Newt Boman called on Ed Walker Saturday. Ed Oliver was a Rensselaer caller Wednesday. W. S. Bresse called on E. Kennedy Sunday afternoon. Ray Acres called on Sam Bowen Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Callahan were in NeWland Thursday. Miss Bell Tow is spending a few days with her brother, Floyd. Thomas Kennedy called on Russell and Loenard Rees Sunday. Mart Summers, of near Wolcott, called on Ed Oliver Monday. Mrs. John and Miss Zella Bowen have the mumps at this writing. Thomas Vore- called on Russell and Leonard Rees Monday forenoon. ' Ernest Rees and George Gorbet called • on Floyd Tow Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rees called on Mr. and Mrs. Ed Oliver Sunday afternoon. Misses Letha and Mary Rees called on Miss Zella Bowen Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Callahan and baby.attended church 'in Rensselaer Sunday. Wm. Marlon and family broke bread with his brother 81m and family Sunday. Samuel Rees and son Forest took dinner with Wm. Rees and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Decon Smith called on Mr. and Mrs. John Bowen Sunday afternoon. ' Bill Kennedy and Claude Boman called on E. Kennedy and family Sunday af* ternoon. Mrs. George Martin and children, Cloae, Ruth and Floyd, called on Mrs. Dan Snider, Sunday. Miss Lizzie Tow returned to her home Saturday near Wolcott, after a week’s visit with Miss Lola Oliver. Mr. and Mrs. John Holladay and family called on Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Callahan and family Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. John Snider and family called on the former’s father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Snider, Sunday. The former live near Gifford. A telegram received in Newland Monday stated that Mrs. E. Kennedy s father had died. She left the same morning to be present at the funeral. He lived at Frankfort. . „ . George certainly had a close call last week while loading hogs. He lost one pants leg. He said that ne had a narrow escape. The next we hear of will be him losing one leg, I suppose. There must be something up, for Lola spent Saturday with Floyd’s mother to see how she liked her and also brought home another of his sisters with her to see how she liked her new relation. Wm. Rees, Ed Oliver and E. Kennedy planted 28 acres of potatoes on EM Oliver’s farms. The potatoes they planted were all of good variety, being the Hebron Beauty and Pat's Choice. This makes quite a field of potatoes alone. Mr. Oliver thinks If he oan’t raise oorh he can raise potatoes, maybe. His rye, clover and timothy are looking line. The onions are looking fine too.
