Tell It to Ernie Zea and He Will Report It.

Ernie Zea, the boy, has been doing some reporting for the Republican again this spring, but during a considerable part of the time the weather has prevented him from getting about. Ernie’s retentive memory serves him splendidly as a reporter, and he has almost discontinued the use of a note book. If persons who have visitors or who are going away or who have news items of any kind will tell Ernie about * them, he will bring the news to this office and repeat it accurately. On many occasions he brings several Items, remembering the initial letters of the names, although he had never heard them before. And every detail is reported just as given to him. He is endowed with a special gift In the way of a remarkable memory. He finds great interst in his reporting and the readiness with which he took hold of it, indicates the possibility of his mind had he been given the early opportunity to cultivate it. He will be encouraged by having persons report any news items to him and the Republican will also appreciate receiving the items in that manner.
