Clarence intended going on over to Monticello in the afternoon to attend the athletic field meet between the White county high schools. Robert Johns was up from Lafayette over Sunday for a visit with his parents. He has secured steady employment in a factory, and is doing well. Rusk, of this township, had considerable damage done to his farm property, over near Francesville, by the recent wind storm. The Moffit dredge is still building, and may not begin shoveling dirt for several days yet as they have been hampered for a few days by not having some necessary parts at hand. Clayton Moffit is at the helm now as his father Went to Dakota some time ago. The dam they have made in the old ditch has backed the water up nearly on a level with the road.
