Last year’s Monticello athleies are still doing things. At the same meet stockton won first in the discus throw and second in the shot put, while Rawlins won first in t’.e i 20-yard high hurdle and tied for first in the running high jump. Art Cole, the railway mail clerk whose run is between Chicago and Lafayette on the milk train, was out to the hospital in Chicago the other day to see Frank Osborne. Frank is getting along first rate and the operation he underwent will doubtless save his life and restore him to health again. He is feeling cheerful, his wound is healing up nicely and he is anxious to get back to Rensselaer. Two years ago the Monon railroad magnanimously put a few new plagks in the depot platform; now they are reshingling the old shack that answers for a depot.
