Everybody is cleaning house now days. Walter Randle is visiting bis aunt Mrs. L. S. Makeever this week. Charley Topp spent lapt Sunday with his best girl near Francesville. Mr. and Mrs. John T. Culp were | out driving with Mrs. Ed Randle Friday afternoon. Miss Hazel Parker and Carrie Robinson called on Mrs. Watson afternoon. Miss Hershman, of Kersey, arrived yesterday, being employed by Mrs Whited for the summer. George Johnson, of Gillam, spent Monday at this place, assisting the farmers unload their fertilizer. Our new merchant, Wm. Whited, and family arrived Saturday from Kersey to take charge of the store, formerly owned by O. M. Callahan. Miss Effie Wentz returned home Sunday, after a pleasant week’s visit with relatives and friends in Njrth Judson and San Pierre. Misses Myrtle and Maggie Richmond entertained a jolly bunch of young people last Tuesday evening, in honor of their sister, Miss Belle. Mr. and Mrs. Tilman Watson entertained at dinner last Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Owen Callahan, Mrs. Whitet and children, of Kersey; Mrs. Ella Kemp, of Newland, and the Messrs Bill Harrington, Burl Richmond and Glen Baker and Misses Maggie and Myrtle Richmond in honor of Mr. and' Mrs. O. M. Callahan, our former merchant of this place.
