Spuds Start Season By Defeating Parr.

Hugh Kirk’s Spuds were the whole garden sass Sunday. They braved the rain storm and Journeyed to Parr, where they took the South Union Maroons into camp to the tune of 18 to 9. Save for one bad inning, the third, when the Parrites ran in 8 scores the Spudß put up really high class ball and had the lads in red suits at their mercy. Runt Elder caught and Lloyd Parks pitched. Captain-Manager Spud Kirk directed and everything indicated that he will build up a first-class team. "We are full of proposals for games," says the manager "and that means a lot of trouble for any team that meets us."
