To Sing According to Law.
The state board of education has designated July 4, Thanksgiving day, Lincoln’s and Washington’s birthdays, Memorial day and Labor day aB patriotic holidays, and will require "The Star-Spangled Banner” to be sung on those days. This is in accordance with a law passed by the last general assembly requiring the hymn to be sung on all patriotic occasions and requiring that all of the verses be sung. The board will ask the state printing board to have copies of the song supplied to the county superintendents throughout the state.
