Trustees Have Seed Corn For Boys' 1909 Contest

County Superintendent Lamson 5 wishes to inform the school boys of Jaspef county through the Republican that the seed corn for the 1909 corn growers’ contest is now in the possession of the trustees and that each boy that wishes to grow some corn to be entered in the 1909 contest can procure a part of the seed by applying to the trustee. Mr. Lamson is of the opinion that the seed this year is superior to that furnished last year and with the added experience and the greater rivalry that the first contest created much better corn should be raised this year. If each father of every school boy in the county will give his son a little plot of farm land and let him get some seed of the trustee and encourage the boy to give it good attention, the corn contest next fall will be the best ever held in any county. The boy will learn a good deal about the cereal king and may raise corn good enough to enter into the state contests. The county prizes are worth going after. f Give the boy a chance and let him raise some prize corn this year.
