Order of Eastern Star In Annual Session.

The annual session of the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will open with a reception at the Denison Hotel, in Indianapolis, Tuesday night. The business of the order will begin Wednesday in the Scottish Rite Temple on South Pennsylvania street, and.will continue for at least two days. The question of the incorporation of those who have been interested in thq collection of a fund for a home for the aged members of the order likely will be taken up. -There has been a movement on foot for some years to secure sufficient funds to maintain such a home, and already a substantial sum has been realized. There is a desire on 'the part of the members to incorporate’ and proceed with the work of raising the money, and it is likely that the question will be settled definitely at this session. There are 262 chartered 1 chapters now in the state, and thirteen others which are tinder dispensation. The question of issuing a charter to thelatter also will be taken up. It is thought that about 700 or 80Q representatives will attend. Eight Grand Chapter officers will be elected. There are grand matron, grand patron, associate matron and associate patron; grand secretary, grand treasurer, grand conductress and associate conductress.
