SOUTH BARKLEY.
We had quite a hail storm Sunday afternoon. Verne Michals spent Saturday night and Sunday in Rensselaer. Emmet Eldridge and Willard Tanner were in Rensselaer Sunday. Misses Emma Tanner and Goldie Wolfe were Rensselaer goers Thurs--day. , ■Mr. Edward Tanner was a Rensselaer goer Tuesday, as was also Ezra Wolfe. Miss Clara Arnold, of Burns Town, spent Saturday afternoon with Goldie Wolfe. Not many farmers are able to farm much now on account of the wet weather. Mrs. Nathan Eldridge and daughter, Miss Bertha, were in Rensselaer Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. William Barkley have returned to their home, after an absence of almost two weeks. Miss Ollie Tanner, who is attending the Moody Bible Institute, is spending her spring vacation at home. Mr. and Mrs. George Hershman and little daughter, Esther, spent part of this week with relatives in this community. A healthy man is a king in his own right; an unhealthy man is an unhappy slave.
