On Sabbath morning the pastor will deliver the anniversary address before the Odd Fellows. The Rensselaer lodge will attend in a body. In evening a platform temperance meeting will be held In the interest of the local option election. Judge Hanley and Senator Halleck will address the meeting. The public will be most cordially welcomed. There has been considerable rain within the past ten days and Mr. Klosterman, from the college, reports that the Tuesday night rain amounted to 1% Inches. Just about a week l>efore there was a tall of 1% inches. Today it Is gloomy and chilly and looks like more rain. Two weeks ago farm work seemed quite well advanced but not much has been accomplished since then and now It is quite backward, »ery little ground being plowed for corn.
