Drugged Fanner Found

The Logansport business men’s league did all in its power for the retention of the saloons in that city. They won. Monday night John Nelson, an aged farmer was found drugged in one of the saloons and Wednesday he died at St. Joseph’s hospital fn Logansport, without having regained consciousness. Of course, all the saloon empto/tak and hangers-on knew nothing about how it happened. Murder, mystery, misery, debauchery, suicide, burglary, highway robberies, criminal assaults, wrecked talent, ruined, homes and untold suffering and want following In the wake of the saloon. These are the things the Logansport business men were) willing to stand for in an effort to abet their financial interests by retaining the saloons as an argument for men to come there to trade. Are they parties to the crime? Not under the law, but from a moral view point Let every man answer for himself.
