Crawfordsville Will Be Well Decorated During Encampment. i Crawfordsville will be beautifully Illuminated during the week of the State G. A. R. encampment to be held at Crawfordsville May 19 to 21. A score of permanent electric light arches have been ordered to be erected at street crossings of the City. These lights will serve to illuminate the entire business district during the encampment. The county commissioners, it is expected, will appropriate SIOO or more tor the purpose of stringing electric light globes over the outside of the court house dome and have it .brilliantly lighted. Harry W. Davis, the Philadelphia decorator, who has the contract for furnishing thirty-five squares of decorations, is here and ready to begin his work. He will have a number of street light poles erected and a large number of lights will be placed along the entire thirty-five squares that he will decorate. More than $3,000 has been subscribed by business men and citizens to defray the expenses of the encampment, but the committee desires that no less than $5,000 be subscribed for this purpose.
