Clinton Doctor Loses License to Practice.

The state board of medical registration and examination in'session at Indianapolis Tuesday revoked the* license of Dr. John T. Towey, of Clinton, on the charge of gross immorality and intoxication. This board has the power to consider charges of any character against physicians, and when it was supplied with information that Dr. Towey was in the habit of giving prescriptions for whiskey to persons who did not need it for medical purposes the board took action on his case and he will not be able to practice medicine in this state in the future. It is a serious thing to abuse the privilege of prescription as given by the law.
