Announcement wap made Saturday of the appointment by Governor Marshall of Mrs. Virginia Sharp Patterson, of Kokomo, as -Indiana’s president In the Woman’s National Rivers and Harbors Congress. The appointment, which is honorary, was made at the request of Mrs. Hoyle Tomkies, of Shreveport, La., president o's the organization. Mrs. Charles Warren Fairbanks is second vice president of the congress.
The following note was received last week by a neighboring town teacher from-the ambitious mother bf one of his pupils: “Dear Clr —You will pleze not lern my children enny more about fizzyology stuff, I don’t think it is purity to talk to children about their skilton and Bonz and won’t have it. You can lern them to. speak gramer and talk Korrect butt I do not desire them to know that they have such things as bonz. Pleaze let them come home befoar the fizzyology class begins to talk.”
