Purdue Sorority Society Initiated Candidates.

Delphi Herald: Twelve young ladies of one of the Sorority societies at Purdue came to Delphi last evening with two candidates. The young ladles prepared their candidates about 5 o’clock last evening and as the 8:29 car pulled in here the conductor announced Frankfort and the girls and their victims alighted from the car. The blindfolded girls were taken up the South Delphi hill and dumped into the sand and left to die (?) hands tied and eyes securely blinded. But finally friends came to their rescue and took the poor, * frightened girls over the ice bergs and into rough territory where the chariot race occurred. The chariots were the scrapers used in grading the South Delphi hill. After this the candidates were taken to the home of one of the number, Miss Goldie Arnott, where the work of the order was satisfactorily explained and where the grips and passwords were given.
