G. W. Gore is loading hay here this week. Miss Tressa Harrington spent Sunday with home folks. Col. Gifford was looking after his interests here Monday evening. Mrs. F. E. Lewis spent a few days last week visiting friends in Kankakee. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Hobbs attended Eastern Star lodge and banquet at Hebron Tuesday evening. F. E. Lewis was in Chicago Heights Saturday looking after the repairing of the engine they have in the shops there. .
_ Mr. W. A. Van Frank, division engineer of the C. A E. I. R. R-, was here Monday and Tuesday the guest of F. E. Lewis, and also on a little duck shooting trip. The dance here last Saturday night was well attended, and about every; one reported a good time. Of course Charlie met with a great disappointment, but as he is quite young yet he may outlive it and forget it
