HIGH SCHOOL.
A senior class meeting was called Tuesday evening to complete the arrangements about the class pins. The time for paying the dues has been closed and the pins ordered. They are the litle gold letters, R. H. 8., with *O9 on the H. -s Miss Perry was absent this week on account of sickness. - v The Taxidermy class has been doing some ver? good work and have some excellent mounted specimens and Stuffed birds. The Zoology classes also have progressed quite well, and are now ready to begin the study of birds. The pupils are already enthusiastically giving all sorts of unheard of naipes to every -bird they see. The whole high school Is glad Mr. Tillman will stay the rest of the year.* The Vlrfcn class has finished Book V and the Cicero diass the Pro Archla. The latter will begin reading Ovid's "Metamorphoses" next week. Wednesday and Thursday the 'O9 flag waved proudly over the water tower. Friday the Juniors’ poor little flag was fluttering from a telephone wire, but both wefe lowered upon the interference of stern authorities, who seem to consider a class fight as serious a matter as'the battle of Gettysburg. The books of the entire high school mixed themselves up most mysteriously Thursday night. Some of them, probably liking their new owners better than the old, have not yet returned. They will be greeted with rapture when they do. The plays ordered by the Senior class have arrived. The committee has been reading them, but as yet has made no decision. The Science Club will meet next Thursday evening, and an unusually good program has been prepared. A full attendance is desired.
