George McColly Is Doing Well in Arkansas.
George E. McColly, of Union township, who has .been in Arkansas for the past few months, is now located at Dublin, and in writing to have his Republican address changed he states that his’ health is better than it has been for several years. He is very busy, has the contract for building a house for one man, and a barn for another. He expects, however, to be back to Jasper county by the 4th of July. He says, "This is a rough country but inhabited by very friendly people. All the farmers about Dublin are through planting corn and are bedding for cotton gardens. Vegetables, this year’s crop, are being used, so you will see it is much warmer here than in Jasper county. Trees are in leaf and fruit in full bloom. They raise two crops of truck on the same land each year here. I helped to put out onion sets on March Ist, and the first of this month we had onions the size of quail eggs. Hoping to hear from Jasper county friends and asking to be remembered to them through the Republican, I remain, very truly, G. E. McColly, Dublin, Ark.”
